Shrimp Pesto Florentine
Ingredients:
- 1 8-oz. package of your favorite noodles
- 1 18-oz. package of Fisher Boy® Shrimp Poppers
- 1 16-oz. jar Alfredo sauce
- 1 8-oz. can of spinach
- 2 tablespoons pesto
- Grated Parmesan or shredded Cheddar cheese
TIP!
Instead of Shrimp Poppers, you can substitute Fisher Boy® Fish Nuggets, tasty nuggets made from whole fish fillets.
Directions:
Depending on how old your children are, they can add the pasta, put the Shrimp Poppers on the cookie sheet, stir the mixtures and add the cheese. Something as simple as adding cheese can give a child the proud feeling of “I’m helping mommy.” All of a sudden, they’re world-class cooks, next to Super Mom.
- 1. Boil water on the stove and add the pasta.
- 2. Turn the oven on to 450 degrees to preheat while the pasta cooks.
- 3. Put the Shrimp Poppers on a flat cookie sheet and cook for 10 minutes.
- 4. Heat spinach, drain and set aside
- 5. Heat Alfredo sauce, stir in pesto and set aside.
- 6. Drain the cooked pasta.
- 7. Stir popcorn shrimp and spinach into the pasta, and then stir in pesto and Alfredo sauce.
- 8. Mix well and top with Parmesan or shredded Cheddar cheese.
